„Mera Dil Ye Pukare” from Jabalpur by Shyam Brass Band

Eternal Drama of Soul, Matter and God

From time immemorial, man has been trying to solve the puzzle of the origin of Life. 'Eternal Drama of Soul, Matter and God’ published by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya and written by Shri Jagdish Chander Hassijais quite relevant  and it appears to be an honest attempt of the learned author.

The writer was a great thinker, spiritual leader and a keen student of life. He has started this book in the context of ‘Theory of Evolution’. Many scientists still believe in this very theory but Luis Pasteur, a great scientist of 19th Century, who is considered as the ‘Father of Micro-biology’ contradicted it. Before Pasteur’s ideas got acceptance and gained popularity, it was still believed that origin of life was possible even from non-living things. For instance, it was believed that flies could originate from the heap of dung. Pasteur, however, proved it that flies do not come into existence on their own, but by eggs produced by the other flies on the garbage. In a conference on ‘Origin of Life’ in August, 1857, the scientists affirmed the above theory of Pasteur.

Shri Jagdish Chander Hassija has also given the references of scientific researches done at later stage that also disprove the ‘Theory of Evolution’.

There is also mention of the relationship between body and living energy– soul– in the book. The story of re-births, Out of Body experiences and the true incident of re-birth of an animal as such have made the book quite interesting. The major portion of the book comprises discussion on the inherent powers of soul such as consciousness, mind, intellect, sanskars,  and distinction between soul and brain, the place of the residence of the soul in the body, etc.

The book also contains a brief discussion on Soul, God and three worlds. The main feature of this book is that it has included thoughts of 19 well-known scientists and poems of 13 American poets that substantiate the existence of soul and re-birth. The language of the book is simple and easy. It is an honest and logical effort of the learned  author and it helps the interested readers to understand the puzzle of soul and Supreme Soul.

Bhrata Jagdish Chandra Haseeja

A Sweet Remembrance!

Retired Judge,

’The moving finger writes and then moves on writing, writing, writing ..’ This candid observation cannot apply more aptly to any one, than to Bhrata Jagdish Chandra. Writing was his passion, his mission, and his satisfaction. Writing was his food, his drink, and his joy. Literally, he went on writing till his last breath.

Jagdish Bhai was a voracious reader and a prolific author par excellence; He had authored more than 100 books in Hindi, English and Urdu in the short span of his life. He had enriched literature in diverse ways- spiritual essays, inspiring stories, model biographies, messages of cartoons etc. He conveyed the Godly knowledge revealed by Brahma Baba in very simple, straight and sparkling manner, easily comprehendible even by a lay man. In fact, he could be a rightful claimant to a place in the Guiness Book Of World Records.

Jagdish Bhai became the chief spokesman of Brahma Kumaris and the Chief Editor of 'Gyanamrit’ and 'The World Renewal’, at a comparatively young age. He had visited about 50 countries as the Spiritual Ambassador, to spread the Godly Knowledge revealed by Brahma Baba. Among his sweettest children, Jagdish occupied a coveted place in his own right.

Jagdish Bhai left his mortal coil on May 12, 2001, leaving behind indelible marks on the sands of Time. Great authors never die; they continue to live in the heart of their readers,, as long as their works last. When I went to Mt. Abu for the first time in May 2002, 1 particularly met Bhrata Satya Narain Swami (then in charge of Lost & Found Department) to know at first hand, how Jagdish Bhai could churn out such vast literature, even while grappling with grave diseases. In the latter part of his life, he had developed some spinal problem, so that he continued writing, while lying on the bed. Goddess Saraswati had blessed the pen of Bharata Jagdish with Godly Knowledge and superb writing skill. He can be compared with Maharshi Dadheech, who had sacrificed his last bone in the sacred cause.

Bro. Jagdish Chandra Hassija was really a great author and  a dedicated child of Incorporeal God Shiva.

To be constantly enthusiastic is to be an instrument for others’ progress too.

Whenever problems come my way, I tend to feel heavy with waste and negative thoughts. At that time I am not able to feel free and light. When there is heaviness in my mind, I can’t move forward with enthusiasm and thereby find it difficult to contribute for others’ progress too. Whatever the circumstances I am faced with, I need to make special effort not to reduce my enthusiasm in any way. Enthusiasm gives me courage and this courage in turn helps me use my own specialties for others’ benefit too. I begin to discover new resources within me, which can be used for everyone’s benefit.
